Well BPOS is officially dead, but not to worry - its death is in name only. As you might imagine there have been groans about this name from customers and partners alike. When you start to try and figure out what the acronym BPOS stands for...you can quickly go the wrong direction.
So what's so new and different about Office 365 - well its a Beta! What does that mean? Well all Office 365 really is the next release of BPOS which was on track to ship within the next 4-6 months. By doing an early beta Microsoft will gain momentum and get some new customers with a much better name.
