A few good facts to have on hand while working with Managed Navigation settings and behavior you should expect with your document libraries and lists.
1. Multi-value fields will never sort. Do not expect to get any drop down for Ascending or Descending on the column headers within your lists or libraries.
2. When you set up a key filter on a field you will lose both the ability to filter that column. Sort remains an option. The filtering would be done at the Key Filter level within the Metadat Navigation panel below the quick launch.
