Creating resources such as projectors, conference rooms, or training areas helps reduce double booking and other conflicts.  Exchange Online Services through your BPOS account by Microsoft Online Services allows you to create a shared resource such as a conference room or projector.  Doing so is easy and once created these resources can be seen in both the Outlook desktop client in the calender area as well as in Outlook Web Access (OWA) by setting up a new meeting, adding the resource as an attend and checking the associated free/busy information.

Here's a short screencast on how to create the resource object in Exchange Online Services.

BPOS by Microsoft Online Services has great anti-spam and anti-junk e-mail settings.  There are a few ways to either choose to receive or block e-mail from various parties on the internet.

You may choose to either allow or block (as specific or unspecific as you would like to configure)

1. A specific e-mail addresss (someone@domail.com)

2. All e-mail from an IP address (mail server 10.1.1.25)

3. All e-mail from a domain name (gmail.com)

With these settings you can mix and match the right level of scrutiny for your inbound mail.  The Safe Senders and Block Senders list are of great benefit to Microsoft Online Services Customers.  I highly recommend that everyone using BPOS configure their Safe Senders and Blocked Senders lists as needed!

Watch the video below to learn more about configuring these BPOS settings.

There have been some questions about BPOS SharePoint Search related to how long it starts to index content and have that be available in search results.   In general, our experience has shown that indexing can take up to a day (24 hours) for your content to start show up in search results.  If you think your BPOS SharePoint search isn't working wait about a day and then check back in.  If it still isn't updated by then you can easily submit a support request through the BPOS administration center.
